Today, Bandai Namco and Mojo Bones have released the launch trailer for their icy-survival game, Impact Winter, for its release tomorrow. The game is about surviving for 30 days until help arrives. In a post-apocalyptic setting, players will have to loot for resources: food, water, and equipments to survive the long-cold winter.

Launch Trailer:

“When we started working on Impact Winter, little did we realise how big the journey would become. Now, with a week until launch, we’re very nearly here. Impact Winter is often categorised as a ‘survival’ game, but our intention from the start was to try to and build on the genre through our love of Adventure and RPG games: a new take on the ‘survive-as-long-as-possible’ formula that plays with familiar rules. Prior to launch, we’d like to say a final thank you to all our supporters and collaborators. Impact Winter has been developed by a core team of 5 people – a huge undertaking for a game of this scale – and the support we’ve received along the way has been invaluable. Hopefully our passion for creating the world of Impact Winter is there for all to see.” said Stuart Ryall, Co-founder and game designer at Mojo Bones Ltd.

Impact Winter will launch tomorrow on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Saw some vids last week and it looks good. Might pick it up if it reviews fairly well.

The game’s quite interesting! As far as critic scores goes, there are only 3 at OpenCritic.com (http://opencritic.com/game/4368/impact-winter):

      IGN Spain – 7/10
      IGN Italy – 8/10

We’ll be reviewing Impact Winters when we get our review copy probably tomorrow, so stay tuned! 🙂
