Super Smash Bros. developed by Nintendo is THE game for the 3DS and WiiU. If you loved Super Smash Bros. from the get-go on the N64, then you will instantly fall in love with the latest version of this non-stop, challenging and ever fun game which features many of your favorite characters who you either grew up with, or you are starting to know now.  SSB2

Super Smash Bros. is almost like a thriller movie created in game form for the 3DS or WiiU. Never ending action and strain makes this game keep you on the edge of your seat trying to battle it out. One of the best things about Super Smash Bros. is that you will never run out of things to do with all the customization, levels, unlockable features, challenges, DLC contents and the fact that you can play with your friends and family just keeps this game rolling.

Graphics wise, I personally use a 3DS XL since I refuse to use a regular sized 3DS. The screens are definitely smaller due to the handheld console rather than being able to connect your console to the TV, but they are still really good. Despite the small screen, every little bit of the game is very detailed down from the interactive backgrounds like the Nintendog Puppies, to the fruits that grow and fall from the trees on Tortimer’s Island and much more. Although there is much detail in the game, there may be times where your eyes just can’t keep up with all the action and you completely lose track of where you are until the moment you realized that you just got a KO. Even though there are confusing points of the brawls every now and then, it is hard to blame the graphics when it is our eyes themselves that can’t keep up with the action. Every character as well seems to come to life more than ever with the feel that they almost quite literally teleported from their own world to the Super Smash Bros. world.

As for the 3D feature, I don’t use it very often but when I do, it’s not terribly distracting. Due to the games fast-paced action, the 3D feature isn’t that needed during Smash brawls. Then again, some of the mini games do very well with the 3D since there isn’t too much confusion due to less action. One of the nice things about your 3D is that you can view your collected trophies with it, giving it a more hands-on gallery feel to your triumphed trophies. All-in-all, the 3D feature to Super Smash Bros. is done very well and whether you’re Smash Brawling with your friends or family or just against A.I., the 3D won’t hinder you from enjoying your most epic smashing moments and will just enhance your experience with your collections of trophies.

The sounds on Super Smash Bros. are incredibly fitting. No surprise there and all, but every character along with his or her background has their specialized theme song in which every time brings you back to their world where you have possibly played alongside as that certain character for hours straight. You can’t help but hum along to the many theme songs while you’re beating your opponents to smithereens. Also, just the Super Smash Bros. theme to get you ready for a battle never fails to get you pumped up. The announcer’s voice when it declares the name of the character you chose is always a fan favorite. Just how “LINK” or “PIKACHU” is announced brings you the adrenaline you need.

Gameplay on the other hand, I can go on and on about how specific and detailed the gameplay is to Super Smash Bros.! There is no other way to brawl but a Super Smash Bros. brawl. The gameplay is just divinely perfect. From every single button combo to every special ability for each character, there are legitimately endless ways to play a single character. There are also different equipment you can attach to your character and different moves you can choose for them as well.

Along with the many items that randomly pop up during your brawls, Super Smash Bros. will excite you with every minute you play. One of the best parts about the gameplay of Super Smash Bros. in general is definitely the vast variety of characters, abilities and customization along with the interactive arenas/backgrounds which can be your downfall or winning edge. The gameplay is very fast-paced and smooth, depending as well on what settings you choose. Whether you have only one minute to play or just an endless amount of free time to play, you can choose your settings to what you desire. Just being able to slowly but surely expose what each character possesses in talents and skills along with their stats is a huge bonus point to playing Super Smash Bros. Whether you just want to stay in your comfort zone with your favorite Nintendo character or explore each and every character there is, you will with no doubt enjoy every attack combo or item power you discover. The straightforwardness of Super Smash Bros. is always a public favorite to all ages which is also one reason why this game has hit one of the top games on the 3DS and WiiU.

When talking about the reply value, I think everyone can agree that no matter what new games you will either receive or purchase, Super Smash Bros. will always be that game where you will always come back to. Even though you may have unlocked every character, collected every trophy or received every item, which will take a really long time to gather up, people will always have a reason to play Super Smash Bros. over and over if their groups of friends or family are able to brawl it out with them. Even then, if you don’t have anyone to play with, you can always just try to make your records rise with different or all the character. In short, Super Smash Bros. has a very high replay value due to its entertainment level as well and its ability to be a multiplayer game.

Super Smash Bros. is an intense and fast paced never-ending entertaining game with all the elements for an unlimited gameplay and reason why it has been one of the top games in history.

All in all, Super Smash Bros. isn’t just all fluff on advertisements, but is truly a very wonderful and intense game for all ages with literally an unlimited amount of things to do from challenges, collectibles and records to endlessly beat. Also, as long as Nintendo is here, Super Smash Bros. will continue to get updates every now and then and will also always have DLCs to download. No matter how much time goes by, I am positive that just like the predecessor of Super Smash Bros. on the N64, Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS and WiiU will continue to be one of the greatest games of all time throughout the years.
